Malaysia's Premier RAS Aquaculture Education Institution

DRFISH SDN BHD (1279614-K), established in 2018 and headquartered in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia, is the country’s premier institution for advanced aquaculture technology education. Specializing in the research, training, and promotion of Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS), the company is dedicated to providing efficient, sustainable, and eco-friendly solutions for the global aquaculture industry. DRFISH is committed to driving the transformation of traditional aquaculture into a modern, technology-driven farming model.

Cutting-edge RAS Aquaculture Technology

As an expert in RAS eco-tech aquaculture education, DRFISH combines multidisciplinary technologies from biology, chemistry, physics, hydraulic engineering, microbiology, and intelligent monitoring and control systems to create the most advanced aquaculture ecosystem.
The RAS system utilizes water recirculation and purification technology to ensure that fish and shrimp grow healthily in a high-density, low-pollution environment. This technology not only increases aquaculture productivity but also reduces water resource consumption, achieving sustainable farming practices, enhancing stability, and boosting market competitiveness.

Integrated Aquaculture Technology Platform: Research, Training, and Market Development

DRFISH is not just an aquaculture technology company, but a comprehensive institution that combines research, education, training, equipment supply, farm management, and market development.
The company collaborates with governments, universities, and international research institutions to drive the advancement of aquaculture technology. DRFISH is committed to training the next generation of aquaculture professionals and accelerating the growth and modernization of the aquaculture industry.

Technological Innovation: Smart Management and Efficient, Energy-Saving Aquaculture

DRFISH continuously breaks new ground in technological innovation by adopting an intelligent IoT (Internet of Things) management system and optimizing the aquaculture process with customized nutritional formulas.
By adjusting feed formulations and trace element ratios, the company improves the sweetness, smoothness (fat content), firmness, color, and removes muddy odors from aquatic products, enhancing their market competitiveness.
In 2021, DRFISH launched an energy-efficient RAS system that, compared to traditional models, achieves the same aquaculture yield with only 10% of the original electricity cost, significantly reducing operational expenses.
Utilizing a high-density farming model, the fish farming density can reach 120kg/m, and shrimp farming density can reach 30kg/m, greatly increasing production capacity per unit of water and optimizing resource utilization.

Education and Training: The Only RAS Aquaculture Training Institution in Malaysia Accredited by HRD Corp

DRFISH is the only HRD Corp-certified RAS aquaculture technology training institution in Malaysia, having trained over 1,000 students from countries and regions including Malaysia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Myanmar, Indonesia, Brazil, and more.
The courses cover the most advanced RAS aquaculture technologies, farm management, market promotion, and food safety, ensuring students are equipped to succeed in the aquaculture industry.
Through a combination of theoretical and practical training, students gain the core skills needed for modern aquaculture, enhancing their competitiveness in the industry.

Environmental Protection and Sustainability: Antibiotic-Free, Zero Pollution Green Aquaculture

DRFISH is committed to promoting a green aquaculture model that is antibiotic-free, pollution-free, and zero-emission, ensuring that farmed fish and shrimp meet the highest standards of food safety and environmental sustainability.
In response to growing concerns over food safety issues such as antibiotic misuse, heavy metal contamination, and pollution, DRFISH introduced the GreenWell brand, dedicated to producing environmentally friendly, pollutant-free aquatic products.
The GreenWell brand ensures that all products are free from antibiotics, heavy metals, and pollutants, making them ideal for cancer patients, those recovering from illness, and health-conscious consumers. GreenWell offers high-nutrient, premium- quality aquatic products, providing consumers with safe, sustainable, and healthy choices.

Positioned

RAS Eco-Tech Aquaculture Education Expert

The RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) we promote utilizes a closed-loop water circulation process,
effectively reducing water usage by over 90% and minimizing the environmental impact associated with traditional aquaculture.

Technologically, we integrate the following key eco-friendly innovations:
  • Energy-Efficient Control Systems: Intelligent pumps, aeration, temperature regulation, and automated adjustment equipment effectively reduce energy consumption and optimize power usage efficiency.
  • Wastewater Resource Reutilization: Combining physical filtration, biochemical degradation, and ecological purification modules, aquaculture wastewater is treated for vegetable irrigation, landscape greening, or secondary reuse, truly achieving the goal of zero waste discharge (Zero Discharge).
Innovative Recycling

Utilizing Wastewater for Plant Growth and Algae Cultivation

We promote the reuse of wastewater by utilizing treated aquaculture effluent for agricultural irrigation, cultivating aquatic plants, or growing algae. Algae not only serve as a natural feed for aquaculture but also effectively absorb carbon dioxide (CO), reducing carbon emissions. This further optimizes the ecosystem, achieving efficient synergy between aquaculture and agriculture.

Promote green, low-carbon aquaculture to support sustainable development

The zero-emission RAS aquaculture model advocated by DRFISH not only reduces water resource consumption but also integrates microbial technology and biological conversion to achieve eco-friendly aquaculture. Through scientific environmental management, we drive the development of intelligent, green, and low-carbon aquaculture, contributing to global food security and carbon neutrality goals. DRFISH will continue to lead the way in zero-emission RAS eco-friendly farming, empowering the industry with innovative technologies and guiding modern aquaculture toward a more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly future!
Wastewater Treatment

Carbon Emission Management

Our advocated RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) eco-friendly technology system is designed with the core principles of "low carbon, high efficiency, and resource recycling" throughout the entire process, from energy usage to wastewater treatment:
  • Energy-Efficient Operational Design: By precisely controlling energy-consuming equipment such as aeration, water flow, temperature, and lighting, we significantly reduce electricity consumption compared to traditional aquaculture methods, making it a key step in reducing carbon emissions at the source.
  • Wastewater Irrigation for Carbon Neutrality: The wastewater discharged from the RAS system, after purification treatment, can be directly used for irrigating crops like vegetables and fruit trees, achieving a green cycle of "fish farming plants, plants purifying water." During photosynthesis, the cultivated crops further absorb carbon dioxide, effectively offsetting the carbon footprint generated during the aquaculture process.
Through this "dual-path carbon management" (energy saving + wastewater irrigation), our system helps users significantly reduce carbon emissions per unit of output, truly achieving green agricultural standards and the goal of zero emissions (Net-Zero Approach).
